Recovery that goes where you go

The BLACKROLL® Compression Boots use intermittent pneumatic compression — the same principle used in physio clinics and pro sport — to squeeze the legs in a rhythmic, wave-like pattern from foot to thigh. That action helps move blood and lymph back toward the heart, supporting the clearance of metabolic waste such as lactate, easing that heavy-legged feeling after hard training, and reducing swelling and fluid retention.

The difference here is the design: the compressor and tubing are built into the boots themselves. No external pump, no hoses across the floor, no power point required. Unzip them, pull them on, press start — on the couch, on the physio bed, or on a hotel bed in another city.

Key features

  • 5 overlapping air chambers per boot — 360° overlap, so no untreated gaps
  • Adjustable pressure from 20 to 120 mmHg — gentle enough for a light flush, firm enough for a post-race session
  • 3 massage modes — Sequential, Pulsating and Combined
  • Full negative decompression between cycles for a complete flush
  • Fast cycling — roughly 20 compression cycles in 20 minutes, around 2–3× faster than a typical unit
  • Completely wireless — integrated compressor, removable rechargeable batteries, no cords or wall power
  • Quiet at ≤55 dB — use them while watching TV or on a call
  • Built to last — polyamide with TPU coating and YKK zippers, wipe-clean between users
  • Packs down small — 2.8 kg all up including boots, batteries and bag

The three modes

  • Sequential — chambers inflate one after another from the foot upward, mimicking manual lymphatic drainage. The everyday recovery setting.
  • Pulsating — rapid pulses within each chamber for a more stimulating, wake-the-legs-up feel. Good before training.
  • Combined — alternates the two across the session for a varied treatment.

How to use them

  • Before training: 15–30 minutes at lower pressure to raise circulation and prime the legs
  • After training or racing: 30–60 minutes at moderate to high pressure to flush and de-load
  • Rest days and travel: 20–30 minutes to shift that heavy, swollen feeling after long periods sitting or flying

1.0 vs 2.0 — what's different

These are the 1.0 model. Mechanically they work the same way as the current 2.0: same five-chamber design, same 20–120 mmHg range, same three modes. The main upgrade in the 2.0 is battery runtime — 3.5 hours versus around 1 hour on the 1.0. If you're doing single 20–40 minute sessions and can put the batteries on charge afterwards, the 1.0 does the same job for $163.50 less.
