BLACKROLL® RESISTIVE BAND – Long Power Resistance Band for Strength & Mobility NZ

Why Choose the BLACKROLL® Resistive Band?

  • Ideal for mobilisation and holistic training for strength and flexibility
  • No unpleasant pulling on the skin thanks to skin-friendly textiles
  • Unique patented textile material for greater training comfort
  • Long resistance band (approx. 190 cm) designed to make modern athletics training accessible to all

The BLACKROLL® Resistive Band is a premium power exercise band (also commonly searched as a long resistance band or stretch resistance band) designed for mobility work, strength training, and rehab-style exercise. Built for high demands, it suits professional athletes as well as everyday users across New Zealand.

If you’ve tried rubber bands before, this is a noticeable upgrade: a farewell to uncomfortable rubber bands – the BLACKROLL® Resistive Band uses a skin-friendly elastic textile material for a more comfortable feel during training.

Comfortable Full-Body Training (Without the Rubber-Band Downsides)

The band is strong and tear-resistant, but still flexible and comfortable thanks to the revolutionary textile construction. It does not cut into the skin, and the velcro ends allow fast fixation around the hips — useful for controlled hip mobility, glute activation, and full-body resistance training.

In New Zealand, long bands are commonly used for shoulder mobility drills, hip mobility routines, resistance stretching, and functional strength training — making this a versatile tool for home workouts, gym sessions, and physiotherapy-style programmes.

Available Strengths

The BLACKROLL® power exercise band is available in two strengths with different colours: Grey – strong; Black – extreme.

How This Power Band Fits Into Your Training

The Resistive Band is ideal when you want a long resistance band for mobility and full-range exercises. For smaller muscle activation (especially glutes and hips), pair it with the BLACKROLL® LOOP Band. For rehab-focused movement and upper-body work, the BLACKROLL® MULTI Band is another popular option.

To support recovery after training, many people add a foam roller for general muscle release and a massage ball for targeted trigger points. For spine-friendly trigger point work along the back, consider the DUOBALL.

FAQs – BLACKROLL® Resistive Band

What is a long resistance band used for?
Long resistance bands are commonly used for mobility drills, stretching routines, strength exercises, and rehab-style training using controlled resistance.

Is this a good resistance band for stretching and mobility?
Yes. The long length (approx. 190 cm) makes it especially useful for shoulder mobility, hip mobility and flexibility routines.

What’s the difference between the Resistive Band and a LOOP band?
The Resistive Band is a long band for full-range movements. LOOP bands are smaller closed-loop bands commonly used for glute activation and hip stability.

Which strength should I choose?
The band is available in two strengths: Grey (strong) and Black (extreme). Choose based on your training needs and preferred resistance level.
